Agrimin’s vision is sustainable food security for future generations by providing the nutrition the world needs.

Based in Perth, Western Australia (WA), Agrimin Limited is the leading fertiliser company on the ASX (ASX: AMN) focused on development of its 100% owned Mackay Sulphate of Potash Project. The Project is situated on Lake Mackay in Western Australia, the largest undeveloped potash-bearing salt lake in the world.

The Project is lowest quartile on the cost curve and has excellent ESG credentials with a low carbon footprint, solar evaporation ponds at the heart of the processing cycle and > 80% renewable penetration during operations. At the mine gate the ready-to-use organic fertiliser will be trucked by a JV haulage fleet and exported via an Agrimin facility at the Port of Wyndham in the north of Western Australia.

The demand for high quality fertilisers is underpinned by population growth, which the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations predicts will drive an increase in global food demand by 50% by 2050.  In addition to a growing global population, we have the challenge of reducing arable land, increasing environmental and climatic events and a ‘rising middle class’ which particularly demands more access to fresh fruit and vegetables.

Potash has two distinct commodities and markets; Muriate of Potash (MOP) which contains chloride and is for use on large scale crops such as wheat, and Sulphate of Potash (SOP) which is more bespoke in use and application as it is chloride free so therefore suitable for chloride intolerant crops such as fruits, vegetables and nuts.  The SOP market is about 10% of the MOP market; and once in production our Lake Mackay will be ~6% of global SOP supply.

Agrimin owns 40% of a private Company, Tali Resources, which has the largest landholding in the West Arunta region of WA and holds a 13% stake in WA1 (ASX: WA1) a Niobium developer located in the West Arunta.  The West Arunta region encompasses Lake Mackay and is a highly prospective and significantly under explored region of Australia.  With recent Niobium discoveries and historical geoscience positioning as a likely copper belt, exploration across the West Arunta is rapidly increasing.
